Initiative Unterbau Linz

In December, the initiative Unterbau Linz was launched at JKU by pre-docs and post-docs as a grassroots movement to address the precarious working and employment conditions at Austrian universities and to strive for changes here. After initial networking meetings, a plenary assembly of the Mittelbau is now to take place at JKU on 16. 3. 2023.

Initiative Unterbau TU Wien

Initiative Unterbau TU Wien was founded in November 2022. We bring together scientists at TU Wien who are affected by unsecure working conditions and §109 UG. Together we want to initiate a change.
One of our major demands: scientists, who raise their own funding should be able to do research at TU Wien in the long term. In particular, there should not be an upper limit on the duration of third-party funded research.
